Pingsta is seeking an experienced Global Sales Executive to join its Sales team. The position is full-time and is based in our Redwood City, CA offices.
Global Sales Executives are expected to be self-starters with excellent communications skills on the phone, in person, and via PowerPoint, Word, Excel and e-mail. Successful Global Sales Executives make lots of prospecting calls to identify and build relationships with buyers of Pingsta services and occasionally travel to make presentations and to close deals. The Global Sales Executive will report directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
- North America & Europe
- Identifies, pursues and closes new Pingsta ICE™ sales.
- Meets and/or exceeds predetermined sales goals and quotas.
- Conducts regular account reviews.
- Works with Pingsta ICE operations team to enhance current offerings and develop new ones as appropriate.
- Drives the sales of new services and act as the customer's advocate within Pingsta.
- Weekly monitoring and reporting of sales and business development pipeline.
Requirements:
- Must have multi-million dollar quota achievement track record
- An in-depth understanding of Cloud Computing and/or Software-as-a-Service is a bonus.
- Must demonstrate abilities with operations start-up, expansion, strategic planning, customer relations and retention, contract development and negotiation.
- Must be a team player in lead, peer and follower situations.
- Must have practical experience in managing by influence.
- Must be able to confidently navigate gate-keepers to reach decision-makers.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills using Microsoft and/or Apple Mac and desktop sharing tools
- Must have strong internet research skills using search engines, research databases, etc.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills are essential.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, frugal and able to travel as needed.
- Ability and experience working in a very fast paced environment is a bonus.
- A positive "can do" attitude is a must
- Direct successful prior experience with selling in large deals is a big plus.
Recommended Educational Background:
- Bachelor of Science or Arts or equivalent and 3-5 plus years of proven successful sales experience exceeding targeted objectives.

Senior Software Engineers

The successful candidates will report directly to the CTO and help build the next-generation system behind Pingsta's products, create cutting-edge collaborative tools, straddle information retrieval algorithms with fearless drive and creativity and build highly scalable web applications.

- Create web applications primarily using Ruby on Rails
- Implement AJAX web interfaces using HTML/CSS and JavaScript
- Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems
- Refactor and improve maintainability of the codebase
- Incorporate cross-functional ideas and innovations
- Conduct design and code review
Requirements:
- B.S. Computer Science or related field
- Expert knowledge developing and debugging Ruby on Rails applications
- Working knowledge of JavaScript UI libraries (Prototype, Scriptaculous, jQuery)
- Expertise in PHP, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML/CSS

Senior Web/UI Designers
Pingsta is seeking experienced Web/UI Designers to join its design team. The successful candidates must have a strong sense of Web/UI design, layout, color, and style with a deep appreciation for simple and sleek user-interfaces. This position is full-time and the successful candidates will report to Pingsta's CTO at our Redwood City, CA offices.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Engineering, Marketing and Sales teams to design, prototype and build "feasts for the eyes" web interfaces and collaterals
- Produce storyboards, wireframes, and design prototypes for new products and features
- Continuously refine and improve user-interface and SEO
- Implement next-generation Web 2.0 interfaces using HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
- Assess and analyze site usage while incorporating innovative feedback from users and the rest of the product team
Requirements:
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite tools
- Expert cross-browser HTML/CSS coding skills, good JavaScript and ActionScript coding skills
- 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience
- Strong portfolio featuring interaction design samples
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an eye for details
- Proven ability to work well cross-functionally
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude a must
- Out-of-the-box creative thinker

Sales Interns
Pingsta is seeking a motivated self-starter for the position of sales intern. This is an ideal situation for a college student seeking to gain valuable hands-on experience in the business world. The Sales Intern will be mentored closely by the VP of Sales during the internship. This program is intended for fearless interns that want to be a part of history in the making by helping to grow Pingsta into the world's customer advocate.

Graphic/Web Design Interns

Responsibilities:

- Implement web interfaces using XHTML/CSS for AJAX/Ruby on Rails with the engineering team

Requirements:
- Knowledge of Programming Languages- HTML, XHTML, CSS, ActionScript and JavaScript
- Relevant hands-on experience with Computer Applications- Fireworks, Photoshop, ActionScript, Illustrator, In-Design, and Flash
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint, including use of color palettes, master slides, animations, imported elements, and template creation
